The HJ Enterprises project is starting to look a whole lot different these days. 👀

With our portion of the project now sitting around 80% complete, our crews are keeping the momentum rolling working through the potable water and fire line systems, knocking out finishing touches, and watching the site come together piece by piece.

Still a little dirt on the boots, but this one is shaping up nicely👊

Across miles of relentless terrain, our crews are building and improving the right-of-way access needed to move people, materials, and heavy equipment safely from structure to structure.

That means managing grades, creating stable travel surfaces, controlling drainage, protecting the surrounding ground, and restoring completed sections as the operation advances.

One phase is being returned to finished condition while the next phases move forward—because on a project of this scale, progress is not one activity. It is a carefully coordinated sequence.

More than 720,000 pounds of concrete sat at the top of a 15% grade, waiting to be pushed into place.

Before the first track turned, everyone knew exactly what was at stake.

As a subcontractor on this U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District project, our team was trusted to pour the boat ramp, groove the concrete, and then take on the challenge of moving the entire structure down the slope.

For weeks, the push lived on paper, in conversations, and in the minds of the people responsible for making it work. Every detail was challenged. Every move was talked through. The crew had to believe in the approach before more than 360 tons ever started moving.

Then came push day.

Five D8 dozers and an excavator lined up. Engines roared. Tracks dug in. And our operators went to work.

They weren’t just moving concrete. They were carrying the weight of every decision that led to that moment, and worked together to control the massive structure as it made its way down the grade.

That kind of operation takes more than horsepower. It takes people willing to trust the work, trust the machine, and trust the operator beside them.

This was a monumental effort from the entire team!

The progress at the Farmington Crossing commercial development is feeling notorious alongside Brinkmann Constructors.

Bloomsdale Excavating is in the heart of our portion of the project, transforming the site from raw ground into a prepared, build-ready foundation.

From excavation and drilling and blasting, to crushing shot rock and laying sanitary lines, every step is helping shape the next phase of construction.
