Whenever I post about adding a 240v outlet for an electric car, some people freak out and get pi**ed because they will never drive an electric car but the benefits of having a 240v outlet far exceed just a car charger... welders, table saws, and hell, even a dryer can be used there.
You’ve also gotta consider resale, the next homeowner might love the idea of an electric car and could add to the list of benefits of a house when buying.

Builder:
I often see it laid out in piles on the garage floor for months before it’s installed. You can imagine some of the damage they get. I like this rack Jonathon uses because it also makes it easier to find the type of trim needed, you can get a quick look at how much you have and it’s at eye level not on the ground. So many reasons why this is a killer idea.

🧺 More laundry room features and tips in my Checklist: Get it at BuilderBrigade.com 🔥A recessed dryer vent is popping up on all the builds now and I love it. Keeps your dryer vent from being crushed when you push the dryer up against the wall. 💧A floor drain might be a requirement in some areas but I’ve seen quite a few without. If the washing machine leaks, the water will catch inside the pan and into the drain! 🔨Water hammer arrestors are little gadgets attached to water valves to prevent the pipes from inside the walls bouncing around and causing noise. It’s typically caused when a valve is opened and the water comes rushing out all at once. A great add to a washing machine hook-up. What did I miss, what would you add?

I really think I would choose induction for my house. I was unaware of the benefits. I’ve seen quite a few raving reviews about how quick you can heat up the cookware and the consistency of the heat. The comments on this video may change my perspective but as of right now I’m really digging it!

🤦‍♂️ Don’t ask me why I’m saying both control joints and expansion joints interchangeably in the video.
Control joints are what you’re looking for on your new build, either cut with a saw or tooled by hand (walkways and driveways).

The biggest takeaway... Ask about control joints if you don’t see them busting a saw out within 24hrs of finishing.

🤤 We walked a $5+ Million Dollar house and found a bunch of cool features that don’t require a crazy budget.

💸 Of course, we also found some out of our tax bracket but plenty of ideas you can use on your build or renovation!

🤜💥🪟If the glass is tempered it’ll be much harder to break.
Some areas require it by code.

👎 I still don’t want sidelites because victors who walk up and knock on the door can easily look inside and catch you running and hiding so you don’t’ have to answer the door 👀 .

What are your thoughts? Would you want sidelites on your house..?
