What you see from the ground isn’t always what we see on the roof.

From the ground, this roof doesn’t look like it has much going on.

But once we get above the roof and look down at the shingles, the damage becomes much more apparent.

This is why a proper roof inspection matters. Some damage simply isn’t visible from the ground.

From Inspection to Replacement 🏠

I was called to inspect a 100-year-old home in Urbana, IL after a student purchased the property. She initially just wanted to know the condition of the roof and whether it had life left in it.

After a closer inspection, we found severely deteriorated 3-tab shingles and old skip decking that didn’t provide the proper nailing surface for a new roof.

I walked her through what a proper replacement would require — new OSB decking, proper ventilation with both intake and exhaust, and a roofing system built to today’s standards.

We may not always be the cheapest option, but we believe in doing things right and giving homeowners confidence that they’re in good hands.

She chose Central Roofing, and we’re looking forward to giving this 100-year-old home a roof built to last. 🔨🏠

They didn’t think they had hail damage… until they noticed water stains on the ceiling.

After inspecting the roof, we found holes caused by the March hail storm.

I walked them through the damage and insurance process, and together we got them fully approved for a new roof and gutters.
