Since our inception in 2011, our goal has been to be the positive change in partnering with you to make things better. The Catalyst Construction team approaches each and every project relationally and with intentionality. We do our best to steward every project with excellence while being honest and transparent in the design-build process, taking your ideas and vision, making them a reality. Our process consists of a 3 phased approach - connecting people and ideas, implementing the right solutions, and transforming spaces.

Any day now, the team at O'Brien Honda of Bloomington will hand a customer the first set of keys to their new car.

Somebody in Bloomington-Normal is going to remember that day for years, and the O’Brien team has thought through every step of it. Guests will pull up under a new canopy, walk into a showroom where they're greeted by Honda blue at the door, and come back for service to bright, open bays with freshly polished floors. They even made room for a kitchenette so their staff can grab a quick coffee between customers.

Every day, healthcare providers across Central Illinois show up for their communities with skill and compassion.

Evergreen Senior Living, VisionPoint Eye Center, Sylvester Family Dental, The Serenity MedSpa, Highland Pet Hospital, Breathe Counseling & Intensives, Nord Dental, and Carle Health are a few of the teams doing that work, and each one shaped a space around the care they give.

A warm waiting room, a quiet exam space, and a front desk that feels like a welcome all become part of the care a patient receives.

A new chapter is taking shape at the O'Brien Honda of Bloomington. The storefront glass and canopy are in place, and inside, Honda blue greets every guest at the door while clean glass and finishes give the hallways a polished glow.

The spaces the team will use every day are coming together too, including a bright kitchenette for a quick coffee between customers and open service bays with freshly polished floors.

Thank you to the crews whose skill shows up in every corner of this building. Opening day is next, and we're excited to see the doors open for drivers across Bloomington-Normal.

We love celebrating our clients and cheering them on so much that we sometimes miss the opportunity to celebrate our own accomplishments. We're extremely proud of the work we do and the people we get to do it with. So, today we're sharing a few awards our projects have received and a few more that are under consideration right now.

Grove+Prairie earned a City of Bloomington, Illinois Beautification Award in 2022, The Foundry took bronze for Building of the Year from American Buildings Company in 2018, and Nussbaum Transportation was featured in Metal Builders in 2013. Right now, Genesis of Bloomington Normal, Jack Lewis Jewelers, and Chic Flats are in the running, and we're cheering on the owners and crews who brought them to life.

For decades, the people at Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka have looked after seniors in Woodford County, and as the needs of older adults keep changing, they feel called to prepare for the next chapter.

That chapter looks like 33 assisted living units and 18 memory care units where seniors can live in a community designed around dignity, safety, and care. It is an $18 million vision carried by the families, churches, and businesses who believe Eureka should have a place like this. We're thankful for the opportunity to help bring this vision to life, and you can be a part of that too.

Their Assisted Living Building Campaign is open now, and every donation helps open the doors for the seniors who will call it home.

Some really meaningful work in construction happens before anyone breaks ground, back when someone in our community has an idea, a piece of property, or an opportunity worth exploring.

Brett Barbour, our Business Development Manager, brings 15 years of architecture and engineering experience to those first conversations, helping people shape their ideas, picture what a space could become, and understand what it would take to get there. Robbie Osenga calls him "the yin to my yang, the left brain to my right."

We're grateful that Brett is here, helping more people across Central Illinois move from "what if" to "here's how."

A great day out on the course for Dream Center Peoria and every dollar raised goes right back into the work Andy King and his team do all year for women, children, and families here in Peoria.

Thank you to Tom Brock of Goodfield State Bank and Cole McDaniel of Hometown Consulting who help carry out the Dream Center mission. This week, they also helped carry our golf team.

We've had the privilege of building alongside Dream Center Peoria since 2019, when Andy had a vision for a shelter that could serve more people while reflecting the dignity of every one of them. That expanded shelter featured a warming kitchen, showers, and a lounge, and it filled almost as quickly as it opened. In 2021, we helped them turn a pair of old racquetball courts into a commercial kitchen, expanding their food service. This opened training and apprenticeship opportunities to community members.

Their generosity continues to rally the whole city behind them, and the City of Peoria Illinois - Government is better because Dream Center exists.

Classes are back in session and 210 Mulberry is ready for it.

This building began as a dream more than ten years ago, and it stands today because hundreds of people believed the next generation was worth investing in, giving more than $3.8 million in gifts, services, and generosity to make it real. We were honored to walk alongside Encounter Campus Ministry, BLDD Architects, Inc., and everyone who carried that vision, helping turn a decade of hope into a place students can walk into every day.

It's now home to Lab Coffee, Truth in Love Counseling, and Encounter Campus Ministry which together cover much of what a student needs over the course of a year. Students from Illinois State University, Illinois Wesleyan University, and Heartland Community College will settle in at Lab with a laptop for a few hours or meet a friend between classes, build friendships at Encounter that stay with them long after graduation, and find support for their mental health right there in the same building.

This is a good week to stop by, grab a coffee, and see what students and neighbors in the Town of Normal - Government are making of the place. Here's to building spaces that help people flourish.

A week after the storms rolled through, our community is still healing from the storms, but it’s looking a whole lot better, and that is because of the people who went to work the moment the wind stopped.

Thank you to the crews at the Town of Normal - Government and the City of Bloomington, Illinois, the line workers who put the power back on, the tree and debris crews who worked long hours in the heat, and the emergency response teams who were out there before most of us were awake. Thank you also to the neighbors who showed up with chainsaws and generators and a willingness to help whoever needed it.

This week, we feel especially grateful to build in a community where people take care of each other. We're proud to call this place home.

Our community was hit hard by severe weather yesterday, Aug 13th, with storms continuing overnight.

While our office is closed today without power, our team is out cleaning up our job sites; others are out helping their neighbors clear trees and debris and get water out of basements.

We're thankful for the line workers, clean up crews, and emergency response teams who have quickly jumped into action, and grateful to be a part of a community that takes the time to show up for our neighbors.
