carport goodies SOLD OUT thanks to this amazing community, and I’m waking up in Madison✨
I went through a dark season when I became a single mama of my oldest son- and one of my first weekends without him (while he was at his dad’s - who is an AWESOME man & father!) I joined my parents on a weekend trip here. They were enjoying the Belterra casino, and I’m not much of a gambler so I hopped in my car and drove to the nearest town I could find on GPS. I spent the day petting cats in their big library, caught an old school movie at their historic theatre, ate some of the best local food, grabbed a coffee and shopped for fun treats I could bring back for my little boy. That trip felt like a breath of fresh air and some hope in my new start.
Fast forward to meeting my husband, early on in dating I shared about “this town called Madison a couple hours away” and how much I’d fallen in love with it. And to my surprise, he responded that since he’d graduated from Hanover College - Madison was a town he knew through & through. From there, it became OUR spot. We come at least once a year for a weekend getaway to recharge. And of course I bring back fun local spices and goodies for baking!
