Two years ago, I got a message from a homeowner needing help with her landscape beds. The before pictures of what it started like and the after are what it looks like today.

The difference in pictures is proof that yearly mulching, and pruning of plants at the right time can pay off. Flower beds do not have to be a lot of work if you know the proper care for them AND keep up with it. This is going on three seasons now of us coming in the Spring and taking care of it.

We know it's been a minute (or months) since we have posted but dang you sure know how to keep a girl busy with all the referrals, so thank you for them. We do plan on showcasing soon all the projects the guys have been working on.

However, I wanted to jump on here really quick to talk about watering!!!

We know with this heat your first reaction is to soak and soak and soak your new plantings. The truth is over watering can kill a plant just a quickly than not watering it. There is a lot of moisture still in the ground from all of this rain. We highly recommend getting a plant moisture meter. You can get them on amazon or Menards, etc. They are very beneficial when questioning if you should be watering. Also, if you need to water, water in the morning.

If you have new sod and seed. Follow the instructions given. You cannot over water sod.

These changes in weather may stress your plants. Do NOT stress, they can sense it and it makes things worse (we are joking about the last part) but after this week, the temps go back into the 80's.

If you have any questions reach out with questions to your local garden center or landscaper. Again, we highly recommend the plant moisture meters!!

We know mullets have tried to make a come back, but don't leave your grasses hanging this Spring. We get it, life gets busy.. you have a few hours on the weekend to start pruning and then you have to stop. We can help with that!!

We normally do not post a lot of personal stuff with this being a business page, but we feel this is worth making an exception for‼️

My daughter's volleyball teammate was diagnosed with Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma this past Fall. Tonight St Mary's School is hosting a fundraiser for Aryka and her family. If you don't feel like cooking supper or want to watch some fun volleyball, come on over to the school this evening.

There will be many raffle baskets; including a gift certificate to a local garden center and another one with a chance to with a 2" diam Maple tree installed.

We hear the Groundhog saw his shadow and is saying SIX more weeks of winter..... We say if we listened to rodents, then our designs would be to welcome them in, not keep them out 😉

Whether we have six more weeks of winter or not, NOW is the time to get started on your dream landscape. It could be as simple as changing out some dated plants or a whole, new refresh.
