Bradfields has been a part of the Bloomfield community since 1971.

For more than 50 years, people have walked through these doors for plants, garden supplies, propane, birdseed, straw, and all the other things we provide throughout the year. But more than that, Bradfields has become a place where neighbors stop in, conversations happen, and community matters.

I’ve had the privilege of calling Bradfields mine since 2020 — and it isn’t just my business. It’s also my home and my homestead. I am fully invested in keeping this place going, with no backup plan and no safety net.

A divorce settlement has left me with the responsibility of buying out my former spouse’s financial interest. I’m committed to keeping Bradfields operating, locally owned, and serving this community rather than allowing this financial event to determine the future of the business.

So yesterday, I did something that wasn’t easy for me: I started a GoFundMe and asked for help.

The goal is $75,000 — approximately half of the financial obligation I’m facing. I’m not asking the community to carry the whole burden. I’m committed to carrying the other half myself and continuing to put everything I have into Bradfields.

If Bradfields has meant something to you or your family over the years, and you’d like to help keep it growing, I would be incredibly grateful for a donation of any size. And if giving isn’t possible, sharing this post can help just as much by getting the story in front of more people.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared, stopped in, encouraged me, or simply continued supporting this little hometown business.

I want Bradfields to remain right here — locally owned, serving Bloomfield, growing plants, supporting our community, and hopefully still doing it for many years to come.
