🌿 More than 85 professionals have registered for the 2026 Connecticut Certified Horticulturist (CCH) Program!

This outstanding response demonstrates the continued commitment of Connecticut's green industry professionals to education, excellence, and lifelong learning.

As we celebrate this year's enrollment, we would like to recognize the dedicated volunteers who have helped make the CCH Program what it is today. A special thank you to our current CCH Committee:
Amanda Pezzullo CCH (Chair), Sarah Bailey, Lincoln Gillon CCH, Brandon Hyde CCH, Holly Johnson, CCH, Lindsey Palmer CCH and Christ Valley, CCH.

Their commitment to horticultural education, along with the contributions of past committee members and instructors, has helped establish the CCH Program as Connecticut's premier horticultural certification program.

Thank you to all of our instructors, employers, and participants. We look forward to an outstanding class and welcoming the next generation of Connecticut Certified Horticulturists in January!

Employers that are now eligible for the MyCTSavings program received enrollment notices beginning in mid-July. The deadline to register at myctsavings.com is August 31. State law requires that employers with 5 or more full-time and part-time employees must either enroll in MyCTSavings or adopt another qualified retirement option, such as a 401(k), 403(b) or a SEP.

Notices from MyCTSavings via our contracted administrator Vestwell will include a log-in access code to make it easy for employers to register and enroll their employees. MyCTSavings is free to employers and simple to administer. More than 60 payroll providers now integrate with MyCTSavings, making it even easier to offer the program. Visit myctsavings.com to sign up, for more program details, FAQs, how-to videos and webinars.

Once an employer enrolls, MyCTSavings will contact employees about their options so they can begin saving for retirement through payroll contributions. Employees can opt-out of the program and re-enroll at any time.

Employers that previously received enrollment notices and did not respond are still required to register at myctsavings.com to avoid financial penalties in the future. If an employer already offering a qualified retirement plan receives a notice, they can certify their exemption at myctsavings.com, to be removed from the list.

Nearly 40,000 employees are saving for retirement through MyCTSavings, including many part-time workers who save through multiple employers. Giving your employees the opportunity to save is valuable and can help your business hire and retain staff.
