HISTORY

Cox Paving began as a general contractor in the asphalt paving industry in 1965. The company's objective at the time was to build a business reputation of excellence for producing the best possible roads.
This industrious family business succeeded in achieving this goal and began to gather the many facets of asphalt paving.
During the company's initial years, the work performed encompassed all areas of road construction.
in 1984, the company's focus changed into the much more specialized area of hot asphalt rubber paving. This process produces the best possible road while helping eliminate the problem presented by old tires in our landfills.
Cox paving has paved highways from the East to the West Coast of the United States with hot asphalt rubber.

THE FIRST ASPHALT RUBBER PRODUCER IN TEXAS

As the first asphalt producer in Texas and one of the first in the United States, Cox paving has long recognized the benefits of this blend of hot asphalt oil and rubber crumb. Studies preformed on roads paved with Cox Paving asphalt rubber have shown the surfaces to be safer, quieter, and longer lasting than those paved with conventional asphalt or any other modified asphalt.

In addition, the environmental benefits of recycling tires for rubber crumb cannot be overstated. In the past 10 years alone over 8 million tires, otherwise bound for tire yards and landfills, have been used by Cox Paving to create superior road surfaces.
