With these hot Oklahoma temperatures, your pool is working overtime! Higher temperatures, increased swimming, and extra sunlight can quickly throw your water chemistry out of balance.
Here are a few things to stay on top of during the heat:
• Check your chemicals regularly — chlorine can get used up faster in the heat and sun.
• Keep your water level up — evaporation happens much faster during hot weather.
• Stay on top of debris — leaves, grass, and other debris add to your pool’s workload.
• Keep your filter clean — a clean filter helps your system circulate and filter efficiently.
• Watch your equipment — make sure your pump is running properly and your equipment isn’t overheating or showing signs of trouble.
A little extra attention now can help prevent cloudy water, algae, and bigger problems later.
