Take photos of:
• Hail stones next to a coin or ruler
• Gutters, downspouts, siding, window screens, and soft metals
• Damage to vehicles, patio furniture, mailboxes, or AC units
• Your yard/street showing hail accumulation

Even if your roof looks okay from the ground, hail damage is often impossible to spot without an inspection. Having photos from the day of the storm can make a huge difference later if you decide to file a claim.

I’ve seen homeowners wait too long and end up with little to no documentation of how bad the storm actually was. Better to have it and not need it.
