Another project completed, and unfortunately this one came with a story.
This homeowner hired another contractor to complete this concrete project and paid them up front. The contractor poured the concrete, the job turned into a mess, attempted to come back and tear it out, and then communication stopped. The homeowner was left with an unfinished project, out a significant amount of money, and facing the possibility of paying twice to have the job done correctly.
This is actually the second project we’ve been hired to fix behind this same contractor.
I’ll be honest—this is my least favorite part of owning a business. I hate getting calls from homeowners who have already been taken advantage of. People work too hard for their money to be put in that position.
The sad part is that when things like this happen, it doesn’t just make one contractor look bad—it hurts the reputation of our entire industry. There are a lot of honest, hardworking contractors out there who take pride in their work, stand behind what they build, and treat customers fairly. Unfortunately, it only takes a few bad ones to make homeowners question everyone.
Please do your homework before hiring a contractor. Check reviews, ask for references, ask to see completed work, verify they’re insured, and don’t pay attention to price alone. Saving a little money upfront can end up costing you thousands in the long run.
Our job was simple: remove the failed work, rebuild it correctly, and give this homeowner the quality they should have received the first time. That’s exactly what we did.
To the homeowner, thank you for trusting Cowboys Kustom Concrete to make it right. We truly appreciate the opportunity and we’re glad we could get your project back on track.
