🌱 Dormant seeding season is right around the corner!

As colder temperatures start moving into North Dakota, we’re beginning the transition from traditional hydroseeding to dormant seeding.

Dormant seeding allows seed to be applied late in the season when temperatures are too cold for germination. Instead of sprouting now, the seed stays dormant through winter and is ready to take advantage of moisture and warming soil temperatures as spring arrives. 🌱❄️

Missed the traditional hydroseeding window? That doesn’t mean you have to wait until next year to get started.

From dirt to seeded. 🌱

Another lawn prepped and hydroseeded just in time—and this one was a big one at approximately 65,000 square feet! 🏠

With roughly 4–5 weeks before our typical first frost, there was still time to get seed down and give the grass a chance to establish before colder temperatures start rolling in. ❄️

For a property this size, we wanted to balance curb appeal with practical, long-term maintenance. We used Agassiz seed, Premium Wood Fiber Mulch with tackifier, Fertimax HydroFeed, and DakotaREV TurfPro Formula to give the lawn a strong start. 🌱

Within the sprinkler zone, we used a premium seed blend to create that thick, lush green appearance around the property. Beyond the sprinkler zone, we transitioned to a lower-maintenance seed blend to create a more natural look without requiring the same level of watering and upkeep. 💦

Now it’s all about consistent watering, proper care, and letting the seed do its thing! 🌱💧
