Same building with the doors open.

One thing we do a little different is the same crew handles the concrete and the steel, and it comes on one invoice. Took us a while to get that set up right, but it saves people a lot of back and forth between two contractors.

If you've been thinking about one, no pressure from us. Most quotes go out the same day you text, they come in writing, and if it just sits in a drawer until March that's fine too. It's good for six months.

Had a customer ask us last week if he'd be better off waiting until spring. Fair question, we get it every year about this time.

Told him the same thing we'd tell anybody. If spring works better for your family, wait. The quote is written down and it holds for six months, so nothing gets lost by sitting on it a while.

Only thing worth knowing is the calendar. Fall is usually when we can get a slab poured quick. Spring everybody calls at once and the wait stretches out. Not a scare tactic, that's just how it goes every year.

This one's a 28x40x12 we finished up. I'll put another picture up tomorrow with the doors open.

Just wrapped this one up outside Huntsville. It had a little of everything on it — 30x50x12, lean-to running the whole 50 foot side, concrete, 2 inch insulation, three roll up doors and a walk in.

We handled all of it. One crew, one invoice.

Inside the Huntsville build. That white on the walls and roof is the 2 inch insulation.

If you've ever stood in a metal building on a humid morning, you know why it's there. They sweat. Ceiling drips on everything under it.

The insulation keeps the condensation down and takes the edge off in July and January both. Cheap to add during the build. A pain to add after.

One more thing about this build worth pointing out — the owner did it all at once instead of piecing it out.

That lean-to is 15 wide and runs the full 50 foot side. Enclosed, same slab as the main building. One job, one invoice.

Smart move honestly. We get calls all the time about adding onto buildings we set years back, and it's always more money the second trip out. He skipped all that.

Susan said it faster than we ever could.

Fall slots are open. That 30x35 behind her — concrete, both roll-up doors, the walk-in — is $19,999 plus tax, delivered and set by our crew.

Fair warning though: slots fill in the order the paper gets signed. Once fall's full, the next pour is spring.

Get on the board now, and your building's up before the weather turns.

And the honest answer is no — either order works. Some sites are ready for the slab first. Some folks want the steel up now and the pour when budget or weather allows. Both are done right every week.

What matters isn't the order. It's that whoever you hire will tell you which one fits YOUR site — before they take your money.

Not sure if a building's even on your radar right now or not.

But if it is — what's actually kept you from pulling the trigger? For the Lexington customer in this photo, it wasn't the money. It was that he couldn't get a number that stayed still long enough to plan around.

That part we could fix. $12,699 plus tax, in writing, everything included — doors, delivery, install by our crew — locked for 6 months while he got his site ready. He planned around it. It held. Building's up.
