Our Charlie 2026 cohort completed a service project for Hoover High School, restoring over 10 outdoor benches for the school! Weeks later, they each received a thank you note from a considerate staff member, thanking them for their time and effort.

This was an incredible gift that showed our apprentices their work doesn’t go unnoticed. Fittingly, we were able to give them their own thank you notes while we did a Lunch and Learn on how to write Thank You notes to the people in their lives❤️

Welcome to the brotherhood - Delta 2026!

We’ve had a quick turnaround from graduation to starting a new cohort on Monday! We’ve got a great group of 7 apprentices, they’re getting to know the shop, the staff, the culture, and each other. Please pray with us for the success of these men in the program and in their lives. They’re already doing the hard work by showing up for themselves 🙌

At the beginning of this year, our team applied for a grant from One Hundred Shares Birmingham for the purpose of purchasing a new forklift and lull. This week, we were awarded $50,000 to fulfill that need! We are so grateful for this opportunity to continue the quality of training offered through our apprenticeship program. Our own forklift recently stopped working so this gift came at such an important time.

In our shop there is so much material that can only be moved safely and effectively by forklift - we know this will also be the case for jobs that our apprentices will go on to have. We wanted to share what our forklift training looks like for apprentices and the hands-on experience that this grant will allow us to provide. Our apprentices got some training with our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine, which is able to translate digital designs into precise shapes. We use this machine a lot in production and it’s super cool that we have a CNC pro on staff to teach the guys!
