Hello hello! ✨ It’s been a while (never lol) since I properly introduced myself, so I just wanted to share a couple of things with ya.
I hope you like a good read, and if you can’t read it right now, save it for your morning coffee!
I’m Astrid, I’m 25, and I’m from Venezuela 🇻🇪. I moved to the U.S. five years ago, but Vivatia was actually born back in Venezuela during COVID as a lil side hustle, selling succulents and cactus cuttings that I grew myself in tuna cans. Yes, tuna cans 💀
Like many immigrants, I tried pretty much every job you can imagine. Waitress, corporate jobs, even dental surgeon assistant- but that story needs its own post lol. Through all of it, though, I was always pursuing my love for plants.
Then, in 2023, I came across House Plant Collective, and they welcomed me as one of their own. They gave me the opportunity to start hosting botanical workshops and eventually begin my own journey as an interiorscaper. Today, I’m also their shop manager, and I feel incredibly thankful to have two plant businesses growing under my care🫀 (not to brag, but yeah I'm pretty awesome)
Vivatia started mainly with workshops, but somewhere along the way, people kept asking me to just… take care of their plants.
So we grew.
Today, Vivatia offers commercial and residential plant installations, ongoing maintenance, and on-site repotting, while I continue growing my love for botanical art, workshops, creativity, and everything in between.
Sorry for the lil ad moment, but your girl has to eat something iykyk🧚
And here we are, about 2.5 years later- with a growing little business and an even bigger love for what I get to do every day. 🌞
If we’ve crossed paths somewhere along this journey, I love you. Never change🫶🏼
And if you’re new here, let me give you the biggest online hug. Thank you for being here, supporting my work, and somehow reading all the way to the end:)
