Wondering what those wires are? That’s a low-voltage floor heating system, run through a special decoupling membrane on top of the plywood subfloor. Once the tile is in, our electrician will finish installing the programmable thermostat so the homeowners can set the floor temperature and schedule when it comes on.
Nothing beats stepping onto a warm tile floor in the middle of a Michigan winter.

There is a solid plan behind every successful lift! At the heart of every construction project there is a crane, and the process of raising a wall is no exception. But before the crane operator can even think about lifting that wall into place, there’s a lot of advanced planning that goes into it.

Seeing this wall lifted into the air, on our Chesterfield project, gives us a sense of just how massive this machine is, and it’s clear that without it, this critical stage of construction would be much more time consuming. With precision and care, the crane operator gently lowers the wall into its proper position, and the construction workers quickly secure it into place, making it a permanent part of the building’s frame. The video is a testament to the value of teamwork and the importance of having the right tools for the job.

Our Wimbleton project is progressing nicely. The framework is complete, the windows are installed, and now it’s time to insulate the building. Things are on track and looking good.

This is what the installation of the self leveling Lightcrete looks like. It comes out in a liquid form and is spread over the surface. As it cures, it self levels to create a perfectly level and hard surface.
