Gridco has an immediate opening for an experienced lineman at Central Georgia EMC in Jackson, Georgia. We’re looking for a well-rounded journeyman who can step in and contribute right away, with troubleshooting experience strongly preferred.

When severe weather hits, our people show up.

Since Friday, October 9, more than 500 Gridco personnel have been on the ground supporting storm restoration across Alabama and Georgia. From Huntsville to Mobile, from the mountains of Northeast Georgia to Columbus, our distribution, fiber and lighting crews have all been part of the response. Our crews are still active in the Brewton area, supporting Alabama Power as restoration continues.

Beyond the field work, our teams have been providing damage assessment and crew leadership while coordinating directly with Alabama Power’s Distribution Control Center on system switching to keep operations moving and reduce delays.

That coordination made a real difference on Monday, October 12. An outage hit a hospital in Mobile, home to the only Level I trauma center on the Gulf Coast. One of our damage assessors had the riser re-fused and service restored within 15 minutes of the outage being reported.

15 minutes. That’s what preparation, experience and the right people in the right place make possible.

Data center growth doesn't wait for standard timelines, and the infrastructure behind it can't either.

Safety on a job site isn't a checklist. It's a mindset the whole crew carries together.

Every project starts with the same expectation: everyone goes home the way they came in. That means pre-job briefings, the right PPE for the task and crews who look out for each other beyond their own scope of work.

Our substation and transmission crews have held that standard for three years running, a track record built on the same discipline on every job, every day.

It's not the most exciting part of the job. It's the one that matters most.

Our Georgia crews are growing, and we have immediate openings for experienced linemen who want to put their skills to work close to home.
In the Albany/Doerun area, we're building a full 5-man crew:

• 1 Foreman
• 2 A-Class Linemen
• 1 B-Class Lineman, and
• 1 Groundman.

We're also filling 3 A-Class Lineman positions, with 1 in Decatur and 2 in Gainesville.

These roles need to be filled quickly. Calling Shay Watson directly at 912-215-5439 is the fastest way to start the conversation, so pick up the phone if you're ready to move.

Our transmission crews started their first day of 500kV work, the highest voltage levels we build at.

Work at this scale demands a different level of precision. Tighter clearances, more rigorous safety protocol and zero room for error. Our crews bring that discipline to every phase, from staging through energization, and that's not something that happens overnight. It's built over years of doing the work the right way.

October is shaping up to be one of the busier months we've had in a while, and that's a reflection of where this company is heading.

Crews have several projects in progress across multiple states, new work is coming online and there's a lot happening behind the scenes that we'll be sharing more of as the month goes on. The pipeline keeps growing and the teams stepping up to meet it keep delivering.
