🎉 Congratulations to Mr. Jeff Mims, who recently retired from his role as Maintenance Supervisor for Guntersville City Schools.

We were privileged to work with Mr. Mims during construction of the new Guntersville High School and the new GHS Gym. These projects and so many other facility upgrades and renovations are testaments to his skills and his dedication to the community. He will be missed, but we are excited for him in this new season.

So much progress on the new KDS DAR Elementary School in Grant has happened in the past year. It's particularly exciting to see work on the bell tower — a prominent feature that blends the new school with other historic buildings on the Kate Duncan Smith DAR School campus. You can also see how construction of the academic building, gym, and cafeteria is coming along.

We are excited to partner with Marshall County Schools as program manager on this and other projects throughout the county.

Lots of exciting facility improvements have been in the works this summer at Opelika City Schools! 💥

New and returning students, faculty, and staff at Jeter Primary School and Morris Avenue Intermediate School will enjoy beautifully renovated spaces when they return this week. At Opelika High School, new greenhouses will be completed soon. And BIG changes are coming to Fox Run School, where a major addition is underway that will add 70,000 square feet of new space to accommodate two full grades of Opelika students.

Opelika City Schools' mission statement is "Educating Every Child, Every Day," and its vision statement commits to "a safe, nurturing environment." Scout Program Management is proud to partner with Opelika City Schools in building and maintaining top-notch facilities for all students.

We were excited to join DeKalb County Alabama Schools Superintendent Wayne Lyles and a host of others July 24 in Rainsville for the unveiling of plans for the new DeKalb County Technical Center.

The new state-of-the-art education facility will be located in the Rainsville Industrial Park. The 95,000-square-foot facility is expected to cost $40 million. Construction is expected to take two years.

Ward Scott Morris Architecture is providing architectural services for the project. Scout Program Management is providing construction program management services. The project will be bid later this year.

Initial plans include spaces for CTE programs in culinary, welding, automotive, industrial/manufacturing, cosmetology, engineering, masonry, nursing, criminal justice, and building construction, plus a fine arts wing with an auditorium and music classrooms. The $40 million project includes additional office, classroom, and flex spaces for future needs.

The new facility will replace the district’s 50+ year old DeKalb County Technology Center.

👀 Check out these latest aerials of the new Springville Middle School for St. Clair County Schools. Every day is one day closer to welcoming the Tigers into their new home!

The new school will be approximately 82,500-square-feet and include a cafeteria, gymnasium, performing arts spaces, media center, science lab, classrooms, and integrated storm shelter. Scout is grateful to partner with St. Clair County Schools as program manager on this project, made possible by the support of Springville residents.
