Today we honor a true craftsman, mentor, and cornerstone of our company — Gerald Lockhart — as he retires after 46 incredible years.
For nearly five decades, Gerald has helped shape not only some of the most beautiful custom homes in the state, but also the foundation of who we are as a company. Alongside his cousin Chris, his skill, precision, and pride in craftsmanship have left a lasting mark on countless homes and families.
Gerald was hired by our original founder and owner, the late Francis Bryant, and spent much of his career under the steady leadership and guidance of Steve Bryant, and today retires with Francis’ grandson, John Bryant, leading the company — a legacy that speaks volumes about Gerald’s loyalty, character, and impact through the years.
To say he is one of the most skilled carpenters in the state of Alabama would still be an understatement. His attention to detail, work ethic, and knowledge of the craft are rare gifts that cannot truly be replaced.
More than the homes he built, Gerald helped build the reputation and standard of excellence this company stands on today.
He will be deeply missed by everyone here — not only for his craftsmanship, but for the example he set every day through hard work, humility, and dedication.
