GreAT Landscaping is looking for individuals to join our properties maintenance crew. The general laborer will perform manual labor tasks including mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, shoveling snow, and will assist with other general property assignments. This position is Part-Time with the potential to go Full Time.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls
• Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers
• Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools
• Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers and foliage
• Haul or spread topsoil, and spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws
• Rake, mulch, and compost leaves
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, and other grounds features
• Shovel snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots, and spread salt in those areas
• Operate powered equipment such as mowers, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Ability to work hours as needed (maybe different every week)
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
Willing to work outside in all types of weather
Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record preferred
