Stephens obtained his Engineering degree from MSU. He is a licensed Commissioning Agent, a LEEDS certified professional, and holds engineering licenses in the states of Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, and Texas. He is active in ASHRAE and is the past president of the Mobile Chapter.
