🏠 Could You Qualify for Up to $10,000 Toward a FORTIFIED Roof?

We’ve created a new resource explaining the Strengthen Mississippi Homes Program and what Mississippi Gulf Coast homeowners should know before beginning the process.

Ensured Roofing was honored to install one of the first certified FORTIFIED Roofs completed through the program. That firsthand experience has given our team a clear understanding of the roofing requirements, bidding process, evaluator coordination and construction documentation involved.

Our new page explains:

✅ Who may qualify for the 2026 program
✅ What the grant may cover
✅ Whether the grant pays for the entire roof
✅ When roofing work can begin
✅ Who pays the FORTIFIED evaluator
✅ What happens after an application is selected
✅ Available roofing-system upgrades
✅ How a certified FORTIFIED Roof may affect insurance premiums

The current application period is limited to eligible Mississippi Wind Pool policyholders, and recipients are selected through a lottery. Program eligibility and grant approval are determined by the Strengthen Mississippi Homes Program—not the roofing contractor.

We are incredibly thankful and honored to have been part of this milestone for the Strengthen Mississippi Homes Program!

Seeing the first homeowners receive their FORTIFIED Roof certifications and grant checks is something special. We're proud to have played a role in making that happen.

Having experienced firsthand the devastation hurricanes can bring to our coastal communities, we know just how important it is to build stronger, more resilient homes. **A FORTIFIED roof is about so much more than shingles. It's about protecting families, their homes, and everything they've worked so hard for.**

Ensured Roofing is proud to showcase this project through the Strengthen Mississippi Homes program, with funding from the Mississippi Windpool.

This roof features high-temperature ice and water shield beneath Atlas Pinnacle shingles in Pewter, combining added water protection with a beautiful new look.

That is a fair question—but the real question is: **Are they actually the same roofing system?**
