Projects like this showcase the expertise and innovation our teams bring to critical water infrastructure.

For Central Valley WRF, COP installed HDPE force main, completed critical utility connections, and installed FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Pipe) gravity sewer infrastructure. One of the biggest successes came from changing the installation method from open cut to directional drilling, reducing costs while minimizing impacts to the traveling public.

From specialized piping systems to creative construction solutions, projects like this demonstrate our commitment to delivering quality infrastructure and finding value for our clients.

FAQ Friday: What is the difference between Heavy Civil Construction and Commercial Construction?

While both are important for the day-to-day, here's where they differ:

Heavy Civil Construction typically focuses on the infrastructures that serve the public and benefit the community long term, like our waste water plants, bridges, and underground utilities. Which lays the groundwork (literally) for the commercial construction that follows.
Commercial Construction focuses on building structures on top of what heavy civil construction has done to prepare the site. Typically seen as hospitals, office buildings, and retail stores where we all receive services and conveniences.

What's a piece of infrastructure you use every day but rarely think about? Roads, bridges, water systems, and utilities all play a vital role in keeping our communities running.

Q: Why is the Nordic Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant important?
A: As Nordic Valley continues to grow, reliable infrastructure becomes increasingly important. COP is proud to partner with Clyde Capital Group, Aqua Engineering, and other project stakeholders to build a wastewater treatment facility that will support planned residential and recreational development in the area.
By utilizing a CMGC approach, the project team can collaborate early and often to create the best possible solution for the community.
