Not to mention how much this stuff expands and contracts in the heat/cold. This was the other afternoon, vs. the next morning. It’ll contract 1/2” in 20’ in a day.

I’ve been having issues with pre-finished products the last few years, mainly it’s the discontinuation of colors after a couple years. So I’ll build a house or garage, then a couple years down the road a customer will want to reside the other building, but I won’t be able to get the same material because it was discontinued, so I’ll have to just paint it to match if I can. And this decking I’m doing now was sent out being the same color….. it might be time to go back to the old ways.

I don’t know what’s happening in these factories these days, but two windows out of this home package was built to rough openings instead of net openings…. Who eats these costs? Us as framers framed our openings correctly. These are Milgard Vinyl. I’d never recommend vinyl windows anymore. They are garbage. Please spend the extra money on the 300-400 series. Pella, Anderson, Marvin. But 99% go with the cheapest and regret it later. Look at the Canada energy star label, not met. At least they are finally telling people they suck.

I had to custom cut down these louvered mechanical doors due to the basement’s low ceilings. Luckily my Festool Domino handled it perfectly.
