We would like to take a moment to commend Jonathan Mauger, our Chief Operating Officer, on a notable achievement. Jonathan recently graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Business Administration degree, specializing in Business Analytics. We posed a few inquiries to him regarding his experience over the past couple of years.
Q: What's something that didn't go the way you planned, and what did it teach you?
A: Life. I have been learning that contentment in life is about having beautiful reactions to whatever is happening.
Q: What's something Alpha has accomplished that you're genuinely proud to have been a part of?
A: Precise job costing. I love knowing and controlling—down to the decimal—the numbers and ratios needed to hit expectations. I’m a nerd!
Q: When you're not running three branches, what does life look like for you?
A: Most of my time is spent with my children—fishing, hiking, traveling, etc.
Q: You were running operations across three branches while going to school. How'd you pull that off?
A: I’m not sure I did! = ) Many late nights and very early mornings.
Q: If someone wants to grow into leadership, what's the one thing you'd tell them?
A: Let yourself live with genuine childlike curiosity at work. Assume that you have the least knowledge in every interaction.
