We have done a couple department introductions here, but this is one we have not, owner/operator Ashton Kennedy and the origin of Kennedy Excavating LLC.

Ashton was born and raised here in Gallia County by his late parents Judy and David (DK) Kennedy. Ashton's father a boilermaker, operator and 'jack of all trades', taught him how to operate from a young age which allowed him to have a foundation in a trade when he graduated high school in 2004. From that point, he went on to learn and grow as an operator across the United States. From the sand in Florida, to environmental excavating in California, to large corporate excavating in Virginia and close to home for private excavating companies.

In 2016, Ashton and his wife Molly created Kennedy Excavating LLC. Over the last 8 years, the company has grown, made improvements, added on additional pieces of equipment and licenses. Not only did Kennedy Excavating grow, but so did their family with the addition of kiddos, Stella and Oliver.

If you've worked with Ashton before, you know he takes immense pride in his dirt work. He is very particular and strives to ensure each job is completed with quality products and done correctly. As a family owned business in 2024, we don't have to tell you about the ups and downs of small business ownership. What we can tell you, is how much we appreciate each and every customer, past and present, for supporting us and helping us grow.
