Complete siding replacement in Lexington, MA. James Hardie fiber cement in Boothbay Blue with crisp white PVC trim.

Behind that siding is a full wall system built for performance:

HydroGap drainable housewrap over the sheathing. 3/4" of continuous exterior insulation to cut heat loss through the framing. And a Benjamin Obdyke Slicker Classic rainscreen that creates a drainage and airflow gap behind the Hardie. Full roof replacement in Holbrook, MA, on a home that was smart about timing.

The roof was over 20 years old and still holding, but the homeowner wanted to get ahead of any problems instead of waiting for the first leak. That is the right call. Replace a roof on your own schedule and it is a planned investment. Replace it after water finds its way in and you are paying for interior repairs too.

This one was not a simple rectangle. The home had multiple roof sections, a chimney, several pe*******ons, and a mix of standard sloped and low-slope areas. The low-slope sections were the real challenge. Asphalt shingles need enough pitch to shed water, and one section did not have it. Instead of shingling over a problem, we reframed that area to build in more slope, so it drains the way it should for the life of the roof.

We finished with new CertainTeed Landmark shingles in Georgetown Gray, plus new flashing and proper detailing around the chimney and every pe*******on.

Full roof replacement in Burlington, MA. Over 40 squares of complex hip roof, torn off and rebuilt in two days.

When a roof is this big and this cut up, with this many hips, valleys, and dormers, the details are everything. Here's what went into it:

New CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles in Red Oak, a rich, warm red that completely reset the look of the home. Upgraded underlayment and flashing throughout, because on a roof with this many transitions, leaks start at the flashing, not in the open field.

The upgrade we're most proud of is hidden: we removed the old powered attic fan and switched the home to a balanced passive ventilation system with vented soffit intake and a continuous ridge vent. Powered attic fans have a motor that eventually fails, and they can actually pull heated or cooled air right out of your living space. A balanced soffit-to-ridge system moves air continuously with no moving parts, keeps the attic drier and cooler year round, and helps the new shingles last their full life.

Complete roof and siding transformation in Hamilton, MA. This one was as much about performance as it was about looks.

On the siding, we stripped off two full layers (very common on older New England homes) down to the sheathing, then rebuilt the wall as a system. That meant 1" of rigid foam insulation over the entire house, injected foam insulation blown into the wall cavities from the outside, and dedicated air sealing around every window and pe*******on. The result is a tighter, better-insulated, more comfortable home. New CertainTeed Monogram siding in Pacific Blue, full PVC trim on all rooflines, corners, and frieze boards, and new seamless gutters finished it off. Building out the window and door trim to work with the added 1" of insulation took some careful detailing, and that is exactly the kind of thing we obsess over.

Up top, a full roof replacement: all new flashing and underlayment, three dead attic fans removed and properly sealed, and CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles in Pewterwood. We also swapped the old back slider for a new 8' Andersen sliding door.

Siding Replacement in Lynnfield, MA

We recently completed a full exterior renovation in Lynnfield, removing two layers of old siding and replacing them with James Hardie Plank siding in Pearl Gray.

The project also included a complete PVC trim package, new gutters, and a new front door to give the home a cleaner, more durable, and lower-maintenance exterior.

Removing multiple layers of siding gave us the opportunity to properly prepare the walls, address the details underneath, and install a complete new exterior system rather than simply covering over old materials.
