Still taking this all in…

Last weekend at the K1 Speed World Championships was one of those moments as a parent that you never forget.

Race has put in countless hours, stayed disciplined, pushed hard, and dealt with all the pressure, nerves, and expectations… and last weekend, all of that hard work paid off as he became the 2026 Junior K1 Speed World Champion. 🏆

The first photo says everything to me.
You can see through his open helmet visor the tears of joy — real emotion, pure happiness, relief, and pride.

When he got out of the kart, he ran straight to me, hugged me, and we were both crying. That moment meant more than any trophy or check ever could. This was truly a moment of a lifetime for me.

What makes me most proud isn’t just the win — it’s seeing the work ethic, heart, focus, and determination he’s developed along the way at only 11 years old.

We’re also incredibly thankful to have family there to share it with us. Having my aunt and uncle there made the day even more special — and of course my wife Lindsey, who has been there supporting Race every step of the way.

Thank you to everyone who supports Race on this journey, and thank you to the team at K1 Speed and all of its employees for capturing moments we’ll remember forever.

So proud of you, my son Race. ❤️🏁

Night reveals a different side of our architecture. The LED lines carve light through the darkness, and for the first time, the house feels alive.

From 3D model to reality… this is the moment I love most in architectural design. The lighting hits exactly the way I envisioned, and the home finally shows its true nighttime personality.

What began as an idea has become something that moves me every time I see it. We’re getting close… and the best part is still ahead.

A trusted longtime client, a clear vision, and precision ex*****on — our LED lighting design came out exactly as planned.

Labor Day weekend turned into a boys’ weekend to remember! ⚾️🎣🏎️

We kicked things off in Santa Barbara with four baseball tournament games (the boys played their hearts out 💪), then snuck in some fishing fun at Harbor Cove. Wrapped it all up with the monthly junior race at K1 in Thousand Oaks, where Race took 2nd place and grabbed the points lead! 🏁🔥

I’m so grateful for these moments with my son — and for the families and friends we get to share them with along the way. What a weekend! ❤️ Now my daughter’s weekends are coming up!!

🌟 My three kids are my heart! ❤️ They just got back from an amazing three-week adventure in Texas. My two little ones returned yesterday, and I’m so proud of my son, Race! 🏎️ He had his junior monthly race at K1 Speed and took top honors right after being away. 🥇 So happy to have everyone home and getting back into the swing of things quickly! 🎉

What an incredible Father’s Day spent with my amazing son “Race” , who took me to Dodger Stadium as part of our cherished tradition. We had an absolute blast! If you know me, you know that my three children—Race, Faith, and Lillie—are everything to me. I am so grateful for these special moments. Lillie your always my baby girl no matter how old your getting…Faith your so precious, smart and so independent!!!Thank you, my kids, my life for making today an unforgettable Father’s Day!!!

We’ve been lucky to call the legendary Reggie Smith a friend since our early days at Encino Little League. So when Reggie told us we had to check out Marco Soto’s custom gloves, we knew we were in for something special.

My son Race designed this glove himself—picking the colors—and Marco Soto was an absolute pro, walking us through the right size and style for his position. When the glove arrived, it was game ready out of the box—perfectly broken in and flared just the way Race likes it.

After years of trying gloves from big local sporting goods stores, the difference with a glove is like night and day. These are true pro-quality gloves, made with care and precision.

“As an architectural designer & Interior designer , I thrive on the challenge of remodels. This current project had a kitchen area that felt almost like a jail—closed off and isolating. We’re transforming the space by opening it up, extending into the backyard, and adding a bar, cabana, and large sliding doors. It’s going to be incredible once it’s done!” Love that’s it’s in my community!

As many of you know, at Palumbo Design the kitchen is regarded as the heart of the home. Currently, we are in the process of designing several new kitchens, and I find myself frequently reflecting on our past projects. Looking back allows me to draw inspiration and elevate our designs to even greater heights.

In this post, you will see a range of kitchens we have created, starting with renderings from the third largest house in the United States, and continuing down to a stylish 2,300 square-foot residence in the Hollywood Hills.
