We had a wonderful afternoon on the Bay celebrating Potomac Construction’s annual Summer Outing! 🦀☀️ With beautiful weather, plenty of crabs, a little friendly competition in our co****le tournament, and fun boat rides on the water, it was a great day spent together.

Two years ago, Potomac Construction completed the transformation of Cardinal’s Nest at The Inn at Little Washington!

Originally a 500-square-foot summer kitchen, this historic cottage was thoughtfully expanded into a stunning two-story guest residence featuring two bedrooms, luxurious baths, a private garden, cedar hot tub, and a vaulted living room centered around its original stone fireplace.

Working closely with Chef O’Connell, his team, the architect, and our valued trade partners, we brought this one-of-a-kind property to life while preserving its history, character, and craftsmanship.

Ours with Tatte began at their Dupont Circle café. That first project laid the foundation for a relationship built on collaboration and a shared commitment to quality. Since then, we've had the privilege of building nearly 20 Tatte locations throughout the DC area.

No two projects have been the same. We've transformed former commercial properties through adaptive reuse, reimagined second-generation spaces, and built cafés in brand-new developments. We're proud to share that our Director of Operations, Nina DiSandro, will be one of the roundtable discussion leaders at Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Metro Washington's Women Building Washington: Women Elevating Construction event on September 10th. She'll be joining an outstanding group of industry professionals, including Kelly Gebhart (Patuxent Engineering Group), Emily Harkwell (Coakley & Williams Construction), Nanazin Hesselton (rand construction corporation), and Ellen Quigley (Clark Construction Group).

Together, they'll share candid experiences, practical strategies, and valuable insights on navigating jobsite culture, leading with confidence, and advancing women in the construction industry.
