Five POWRBANK MAX units in parallel. No generators. Seven days. Zero interruptions.

At the 2026 F1 Canadian Grand Prix, Electro Performance deployed five POWR2 POWRBANK MAX units to stabilize grid power for the F1 paddock at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Over seven days, grid-tied battery storage delivered:
✅ 84 MWh of clean, uninterrupted power
✅ 1.1 MW peak load handled on race day
✅ 6,300 gallons of estimated diesel avoided
✅ $34,650 in estimated fuel costs eliminated
✅ Zero generator dependency, zero power interruptions

For years, oversized generators were the answer to the F1 paddock's high-demand load profile. At the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix, battery energy storage replaced them entirely — without a single second of downtime.

Read the full case study to see how grid-tied BESS set a new standard for this grid-tied event.

Generator-only power is expensive. Most operators know it.
Few have the numbers to prove it.

The POWR2 Savings Calculator puts real data behind the decision. Enter your load profile, fuel cost, and project length to see what a POWRBANK hybrid BESS could save in fuel, maintenance, and runtime over the life of your project.

Fuel costs up. BESS gets to work.

When every gallon costs more, how hard your generator works matters.

A hybrid setup — BESS paired with a generator — absorbs load swings and covers peak demand, so the generator runs only when it needs to. Less runtime. Less fuel. Reliable power.

POWRBANK Hybrid. Cut the fuel. Keep the power.
