It’s fall, time to admire the garden while actively ignoring the perennials that need cutting back…😅 the plants we bought without any clear intention of where to put them and the general autumnal housekeeping we’ve been pretending not to see. 🍂
Most of these botanical residents have generally conducted themselves with minimal supervision. A garden that requires a lot from you? BLEGH 🤮. A garden that looks like you spend every waking moment tending to it, but largely minds its own business…😉💅
🌸 Supertunia Vista® Jazzberry® for a vibrant, magenta-purple welcome.
🌲 Weeping Blue Spruce (Picea pungens ‘The Blues’) a dwarf evergreen with cascading branches.
🥑 Guacamole Hosta (Hosta ‘Guacamole’) chartreuse green with moderately large leaves, handles part sun.
🌿 Scotch Moss (Sagina subulata ‘Aurea’) softens any statuary or hardscape, chartreuse groundcover for a little enchanted forest energy.
🌲 Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica ‘Glauca Pendula’) architectural and mildly haunted.
🌸 Vanilla Strawberry® Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata ‘Renhy’) creamy white blooms that gradually blush pink as the season progresses…hoping to limb up into a tree eventually.
