Bill Feland, president and owner of Preferred Roofing Inc., got his bachelor’s degree from Southern Nazarene University. He worked as a claims adjuster and supervisor for six years, roofing on the side. Dealing with roofing contractors daily, he recognized the need for an honest contractor with roofing expertise. He decided to go full time into the roofing business and started Preferred Roofing in

1993, as a residential and light commercial roofing company. For more than 30 years, he has continued to increase his knowledge of the roofing industry, becoming involved with the National Roofing Contractor’s Association, the Midwest Roofing Contractor’s Association, the Spray Polyurethane Foam Association, as well as participating in many roofing manufacturer’s training schools, including, Conklin, GAF, and Foam Enterprises. Bill learned how to roof by working with his dad as a child. Both of his sons grew up on roofs and around the business. He is proud to now have both of them working alongside him at Preferred Roofing. Tanner, the oldest, started full-time in 2011 after playing college baseball at Johnson County Community College in Kansas City. Dillon, the youngest, joined the team in 2016 after playing baseball and receiving a finance degree from Southern Nazarene University. Our commitment to family and integrity guides everything we do. At Preferred Roofing, we’re experts in commercial re-roofing. We re-roof buildings with the newest roof systems available, specializing in spray polyurethane foam and metal roof coatings. We maintain the highest trained and qualified roof applicators in the industry. As our mission statement says, “Quality is as important to us as it is to our customers.” We truly mean that here at Preferred Roofing.
