🐝 Another Busy Day for Teal Plumbing! 🔧💧

A customer called us out after noticing signs of a small fire around their atmospheric vent water heater. After a thorough inspection, we found the cause—a large bees' nest had made its way into the burner assembly, restricting proper combustion.

✅ Removed and cleaned out the bees' nest and debris
✅ Replaced the burner assembly per manufacturer recommendations
✅ Installed a protective screen to help prevent future insect intrusion
✅ Added a proper sediment trap (drip leg) to the gas line for improved safety and code compliance
While on site, we also took care of a failing irrigation backflow assembly:
✅ Replaced a severely leaking backflow preventer
✅ Installed support brackets and easy-to-remove unions for simple winterization and future maintenance
✅ Fully tested the backflow device and verified it is operating properly and meets code requirements
