We’re wrapping up another busy week of building, remodeling, problem-solving, and making a lot of little decisions that eventually turn into something pretty special.

Weekends are usually when people start talking about the projects they’ve been putting off… the kitchen they want to change, the addition they need, or the house they’ve been dreaming about building someday.

🏠 BUILDING A NEW HOME — EXPECTATION vs. REALITY 😂

Expectation: “I already know exactly what I want.”
Reality: 742 saved Pinterest photos later… 😅

Expectation: “Picking everything out will be the fun part!”
Reality: Wait… there are HOW MANY shades of white?! 🤯

Expectation: “We definitely don’t need that upgrade.”
Reality: “Okay… but what would it cost to add it?” 😂

Expectation: “This is our FINAL floor plan.”

Expectation: “Once we pick the cabinets, the hard decisions are over.”
Reality: Countertops. Flooring. Tile. Faucets. Lighting. Hardware. Paint. Doors. Trim… 👀

And somehow, after hundreds of decisions, a little stress and a whole lot of excitement…

We’re excited to welcome Amanda Canady, owner of Bramble Design + Co as the NKC Design Studio Interior Design Partner!

Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Bowling Green State University and founded Bramble Design + Co. in 2022. Her approach combines thoughtful, elevated design with the functionality a real home and family need.

As a wife and mom of five, Amanda understands that a beautiful home also needs to work beautifully for the people living in it.

From space planning and furniture selections to finishing details and décor, Amanda helps clients see the bigger picture—creating spaces that feel cohesive, intentional, personal, and complete.

We’re thrilled to partner with Bramble Design + Co. and bring this elevated design experience to our homeowners through NKC Design Studio.
