Welcome to A&J Painting Inc !

We're a family-owned painting contractor based in Berkeley, serving homeowners across the East Bay since 1999. Alan Joyce founded the company after more than a decade painting custom homes, and he still leads every job in person today.

What that means for you: the person responsible for the quality of your paint job is on your property, checking the prep, reviewing the colors, and making sure the finish holds up.

What we do:
- Interior and exterior painting
- Cabinet refinishing
- Deck and fence staining
- Concrete staining
- Drywall repair
- Power washing
- Deck restoration

Where we work:
Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond, Piedmont, Emeryville, Hercules, El Sobrante, Pinole, Montclair, and surrounding East Bay neighborhoods.

Credentials:
- California C-33 Painting Contractor License #759175
- EPA Lead-Safe Certified Renovator (Alan Joyce, -I-19157-22-01220, expires 12/2027)
- Licensed, bonded, and fully insured

Warranty:
5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty on complete exteriors. 3-year warranty on complete interiors. Anything that peels, fades, or bubbles within that window, we repair at no cost.

We aren't the cheapest painter in the East Bay, and we don't try to be. We're the one homeowners call when the paint has to last. That takes proper surface prep, quality craftsmanship, and a team that won't cut corners to shave a day off the schedule.

If you're planning an interior refresh, an exterior repaint, or a cabinet redo, we'd like to talk.
