A SWEET SEND-OFF TO SUMMER! 🍧☀️🌳👋

Yesterday, we surprised our Burkett Arbor Care team with a snow cone truck to celebrate the end of another HOT Texas summer!

Our crews spend their days outside doing physically demanding work in some pretty unforgiving temperatures, and we couldn’t let summer come to an end without taking a moment to say THANK YOU.

We are incredibly grateful for the hard work, dedication, and commitment our team has shown throughout the summer months. Burkett Arbor Care wouldn’t be what it is without the people behind it.

A little ice, a lot of flavor, and a well-deserved break from the heat seemed like the perfect way to celebrate. 🍧

Now we’re officially ready to welcome fall, cooler temperatures, and another busy season of caring for the trees and communities we love. 🍂🌳

Thank you, Team Burkett, for all you do. Here’s to a great fall ahead!

We are proud to be working with community peers and leaders who understand the impact of trees and green space. 🌳❤️🌳

A new Centro San Antonio program is aiming to make San Antonio cooler than it’s been.

Jacqueline Lucio said the coolness that we need isn’t a matter of beautification. It’s all about temperatures.

“It's hot, and in order for us to ensure that those who live, work and play downtown, are comfortable and safe doing so, we need more shade. We need to expand the shade canopy,” Lucio said.

This Centro initiative is called "Trees Everywhere" and aims to plant a hundred trees downtown every year for the next ten years.
