Stone Talk with JL: What Should Be Ready Before Countertop Installation?
Your countertop installation day is exciting—but a little preparation can help everything go smoothly.
Before your installers arrive, make sure cabinets are completely installed, secured, level, and ready to support the countertops. Sinks, faucets, cooktops, and other appliances that affect countertop cutouts should be selected and available ahead of time.
Clear countertops and nearby work areas, create an open path for installers to carry large and heavy pieces, and remove anything fragile from the area. Plumbing and electrical connections may also need to be disconnected before installation and reconnected afterward by the appropriate professional.
One important tip from our team: don’t schedule other trades to work in the same space during countertop installation. Give your installers room to work safely and carefully.
A little preparation before installation can make a big difference in the final result.
