I haven’t really talked much on socials about the loss of my son, but many of you have encouraged me to share as it’s helped you, and it may help someone else. I definitely talk about him in the store.
I call this endeavor my “grief project”
Losing Colton to leukemia two years ago absolutely rocked us, a gaping hole in all of our lives, a void that cannot be filled. I miss him every second of the day.
I wanted to have a place to work out of, for pickups and holidays, I NEVER expected to be what you see today or grow a community of caring, loving people who not only support this flower shop, but truly are helping me get through each day!
Today-I’m sharing a photo of a bracelet that a sweet customer who struggles with mental health went home and made for me after I talked with her about how we all have bad days, but no matter what happens, everything is going to be OK, And you know what? It is going to be OK, We just have to keep showing up for each other.
Helping you walk through all of these wonderful and hard days,helps me get through my hard and wonderful ones too.
I’m so grateful for your trust and your support of this hometown floral shop all throughout the year and excited for the future of Downtown Bennington.
We’re just getting started!
