Thursday operations for Bell Contracting! Earlier today, I hauled the trailer from Bennington down to Bellevue, sporting a ladder strapped to the side that is roughly the size of a small telephone pole. And honestly? I was white-knuckling it. 😂

Just last week, I was navigating the absolute gauntlet of New Jersey toll booths, driving through Time Square, and perfectly parallel parking a minivan full of kids in downtown Washington, D.C. on a busy weekend.

You’d think East Coast city gridlock would be the peak stress level. But nope. Give me Manhattan traffic any day over the sheer anxiety of merging onto the Omaha interstate with a trailer in tow. Somehow, D.C. and NYC felt way more manageable than this!

But hey! Who says guys get to have all the fun? Girls can handle the trucks and the job site commutes too (even if we're secretly praying the entire time that the ladder stays attached). 🛠️💪

The drop-off was a success, but if you see me on the highway heading back home this evening, please still give me a wide berth and a sympathetic wave! My nerves are still recovering. 😉 Or maybe Rick can just haul it home!

⛈️ OVERNIGHT SEVERE THREAT (3 AM - 6 AM):
Wind-blown, tennis ball-sized hail (up to 2.5") is capable of producing destructive damage to vehicles and roofs overnight. The highest risk sits across east-central and southeast Nebraska, specifically impacting areas south of Columbus, north of Lincoln, and near Omaha.

⚠️ MORE THAN JUST HAIL: While very large hail is the main threat, these overnight storms are also capable of producing damaging winds, flash flooding, and a tornado or two.

🚨 WHAT TO DO: Since these storms are moving through while most people are asleep, please ensure your NOAA Weather Radio is on and your smartphone alerts are turned UP so you can be awakened if a warning is issued for your area.
