Apart from woodworking classes I took growing up, I am a self-taught woodworker. I learned much of the basics during school, but as you know, you are always a student. Honing your technical skills and developing your creativity takes time and practice, but I am inspired to become a better craftsman every day and to push myself to find creative ways for reusing elements. Located in Lincoln, Nebrask
a, I started Rooted Woodworking last year with the idea of simply acquiring wood locally and giving it another 'life' of usefulness and purpose, whether its urban harvested trees or weathered barn wood. At the 'root', Rooted Woodworking strives to give another life to salvaged wood, metal and glass, that would otherwise be at a landfill, and create unique furniture and beautiful house wares.
