Tetherow siding sealing exterior. We used Flood acrylic semi transparent stain with no tint. A hybrid oil that dries clear. This siding was created at Lakeside Lumber’s siding factory in Lake Oswego. The cedar siding is ran through a wire brush wheel, charred on the backside and edges (Japanese wood preservation technique, Shou Sugi Ban) then it’s stained with C2 Nano stain “Homestead.” Then the siding is installed by carpenters but still needs to be sealed after installation because of raw edges and cuts expose the cedar to the elements. Where the siding meets the windows, we caulked with clear caulking and then masked it up and sprayed it, two coats minimum.
