Three days ago, this was an unnamed disturbance in the Bay of Campeche. Today, Isaias is the first hurricane of the 2026 Atlantic season, and it’s still strengthening.

Hurricane warnings are now in effect along the Gulf Coast. The track has narrowed, and the Florida Panhandle is in the crosshairs, with landfall projected as early as Friday afternoon.

Heads up Texas! A cold front is sweeping across the state, and it's teaming up with leftover moisture from Hurricane Polo to bring heavy rain and flooding concerns this week.

Polo made landfall in Mexico, but its remnants are pushing tropical moisture north into Texas, where it's meeting a slow-moving front. That combo means several days of downpours and a real risk of flash flooding, especially in areas where the ground is dry after weeks of heat.
