Featured Project: Why This Annapolis Home Needed THREE Chimney Fans

When Priddy Chimney Solutions was brought onto a large residential build in Annapolis, MD, the scope included three separate fireplace systems — two large-format Isokern fireplaces and a Heat N Glo direct vent gas unit.

At that scale, natural draft alone isn't reliable. Bigger fireboxes move more air and gas, and in a modern, tightly sealed home, they're often competing with HVAC and large format kitchen ventilation systems for airflow. Our solution: three Isokern X-Ventiso mechanical inline fans, each paired with an insulated liner system specified to match the fireplace it serves.

Our CSIA-certified team has been solving venting challenges like this across MD, VA, and DC since 1982. See the full project on our website.

Featured Project: Gas-to-Electric Fireplace Conversion

Not every fireplace problem is about fire, sometimes it's about what's missing entirely. 🔥
This Columbia, MD homeowner had a gas fireplace but no gas service to the house. We transformed it into a modern electric fireplace framed by dramatic black marble. No gas line, no problem.

This Bethesda, MD chimney hadn’t been inspected in a while. When we finally got up on the roof, we found four connected problems: deteriorated mortar joints, a cracked crown, loose flashing, and peeling paint exposing bare brick. Left alone, any one of these lets water into the home.

The fix: full tuckpointing with mortar matched to the home's 1940s brick, a new concrete crown with proper expansion joints, resealed flashing, and a fresh coat of paint.
