My budget for a new garden was $50 and a dream... 🌿✨
I found this old tub in the shed and knew it had a better purpose than just taking up space. We drilled some drainage holes, filled it with a custom mix of compost, sand, soil, and pine bark, and turned it into the ultimate garden companion!
I planted a ton of herbs, pollinator flowers, and companion plants right next to my tomato beds. This setup is doing double duty: attracting helpful pollinators while naturally deterring pests.
The best part? This entire project cost less than $50 to have fresh herbs all summer and keep the rest of the garden growing healthfully. 🌸🍅

Planting tomatoes this year? Here’s what you need to know: start with good soil. I’m using raised bed mix topped with compost. Now is the time to get big tomatoes planted for a summer harvest. Important step: remove all of the lower branches. Plant in a really deep hole. The entire stock will grow roots. Provide support right away with a stake or cage. Help reduce pests by adding companion plants. These fragrant herbs will deter pests. Get pollinator flowers like marigolds, cosmos, or Zinnias. Finally add a bush bean plant to add nitrogen back into the soil. Tomatoes are very heavy feeders, fertilize often with an organic fertilizer and don’t forget to water consistently.

We received this note from a customer, and it truly made our day: "Had 10 cubic yards of the raised bed mix delivered within a business day. Very reasonable pricing and SO MUCH BETTER than lugging hundreds of bags of soil home in my tiny car. The delivery driver dumped the soil exactly where I wanted it in a tricky part of our driveway. So far the mix seems to drain well and my plants seem very happy and so am I!"
