🌧️ A week of rain can reveal problems your home has been hiding.

A ceiling stain might seem like the first sign of a leak — but it's actually evidence that moisture has already reached the interior of your home.

That doesn't automatically mean your roof is leaking. Plumbing, condensation, and ventilation issues can cause ceiling stains too. But during periods of heavy or repeated rain, your home's exterior is one of the places worth checking.

Look for damaged or missing shingles, compromised flashing, clogged gutters and downspouts, deteriorated exterior seals, and signs of moisture in the attic.
