It’s finally time to start showing you what Timber Bear is actually becoming, building, and officially launching!

Over the last several months, we’ve been developing an entirely new product lineup around one core idea:

Progress should be seen. Achievement should be remembered. And the things people work hard for deserve more than a passing moment of recognition.

That’s the foundation behind the new Timber Bear.

We’re building a full ecosystem of products centered around motivation, personal achievement, recognition, and meaningful milestones. Designed for individuals, gyms, coaches, teams, businesses, and organizations.

At the center of that lineup are our Achievement Boxes: display pieces designed to physically track progress over time through personalized and intentional milestone coins, while giving people a visible reminder of how far they’ve come.

A goal gets set. A milestone gets reached. A coin gets earned. And little by little, the box begins to tell the story of the work that went into getting there.

But that’s only one piece of what we’re building.

We’re also developing achievement and motivational plates and kettlebells, designed as physical milestone pieces, awards, recognition products, and motivational displays.

We’ll have custom and specialty coin collections for different goals, programs, events, challenges, habits, and achievements.

These are the core products we’re proudly launching this fall, with even more coming in 2027! And over time, the Timber Bear ecosystem will continue expanding far beyond fitness.

Because the bigger idea behind Timber Bear isn’t about one type of goal.

It’s about the effort behind it.

The first mile.
The hundredth workout.
The personal record.
The comeback.
The consistency streak.
The small wins.
The transformation.
The goal someone has been quietly chasing for months or years.

Some of these products will help people track progress. Some will help them celebrate achievement. Some will become lasting reminders of a moment or accomplishment they never want to forget.

And some will help businesses, gyms, teams, and organizations create a culture where people feel seen for the work they’re putting in.

That’s the ecosystem we’re building.

And this is only the beginning!

Over the next several weeks, I’m going to start breaking these products down individually, showing the different styles and options we’re developing, explaining how they’ll work, and sharing much more of what Timber Bear is preparing to launch.

I’ve been staring at these ideas behind the scenes for a long time, so finally getting to start putting them out into the world is incredibly exciting!

This is the new Timber Bear.

Built around progress.
Built around achievement.
Built around purpose.

I realized recently that I’ve talked quite a bit about Timber Bear changing, but I haven’t really talked much about why I’m doing it. So I figured this was probably a good place to start!

For those who don’t know me personally, I’m Tyler.

For years, Timber Bear was my local woodworking business. At the same time, another huge part of my life has been fitness, health, rehab, and working alongside people who are trying to become stronger, healthier versions of themselves.

Those two parts of my life always felt very different. One was about building things with my hands. The other was about helping people work toward something. Getting stronger, recovering from setbacks, hitting goals, rebuilding confidence, or simply proving to themselves that they could do more than they thought.

Over time, I started realizing those two worlds actually had a lot more in common than I gave them credit for.

Both are about the process. The work. The patience. The small wins. The setbacks. The consistency. The moments nobody else sees.

That’s really where this new version of Timber Bear started.

We’re building a performance lifestyle brand centered around motivation, achievement, progress, and meaningful products that help people recognize what they’ve worked for and help remind them of their potential.

And I don’t mean only the huge, obvious accomplishments.

I mean the first mile run. The 10 pounds lost. The PR that took six months to reach. The comeback after an injury. The year someone finally stayed consistent. The business they were scared to start. The goal they’ve been quietly chasing while almost nobody else knew about it.

Some achievements come with medals, trophies, crowds, and recognition.

A lot of the most meaningful ones don’t. Those matter too though right? Arguably even more.

That idea has become a really big part of what I want Timber Bear to stand for.

Yes, we’re going to make some really unique products. And I’m extremely excited to start showing those in much more detail. But I want Timber Bear to become more than a company that simply makes things.

I want it to be a brand that encourages people to keep going, notices effort, celebrates progress, and gives people something tangible to look at and say, “I earned that.”

Over the next few weeks I’m finally going to start sharing a lot more: what we’re making, how the products work, who we’re building them for, and where I hope this whole thing can go.

There’s a lot taking shape behind the scenes right now, and I’m genuinely excited to start bringing you into it more!

This is still early but it feels like the beginning of something really meaningful and impactful. Thank you for your support during this journey and I can’t wait to share more in the coming days!

Sometimes you have to close one chapter before you can fully step into the next.

For years, Timber Bear Woodworks was about local custom woodworking.

Today, we’re officially becoming something much bigger!

A new brand.

A new mission.

A new product lineup.

A perfect blend of Tyler’s fitness and woodworking background, passion, and impact.

Built around motivation, encouragement, achievement, movement, health, family, and purpose.

We’re incredibly excited to show you what’s coming over the next few days, weeks, and months!

Welcome to new Timber Bear.

3 years ago, I launched this business and moved into our first space on the north side of Bellwood. We added all kinds of cool services, brought in team members, met lots of amazing people, and did some really fun projects.

But with the roller coaster of any business, change is inevitable. You either adapt and move forward or you wrap things up and call it a day. Fortunately, I’m too passionate about the vision in my head and heart to back down so these spring and summer seasons are focused on simplifying, regrouping, and building something different.

With that being said, Timber Bear is launching into a transition full of incredible and exciting opportunities and I absolutely can’t wait to share what I’m working on in the near future.

What that means though is that the original Timber Bear services and team are no longer. We are totally out of the original workshop and relocating to my home garage for the time being. Moving forward, we will no longer be kiln drying lumber, no more sawmilling, no more regular hardwood lumber or live edge slab sales. We also will not be taking on any more custom woodworking orders outside of special circumstances.

This summer is being used as a total reset and as an opportunity to finally spend more time with my wife and young kids. They’ve been more than patient and understanding as I sacrificed so much to make things here work.

I want to express how grateful I am to each person reading this and each person that has followed along so far in this journey. I want to genuinely thank every person that has walked through the shop doors, bought lumber, commissioned us to make a project, or even just offered support and kindness. The last 3 years wouldn’t have been possible without you. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate you each so much. The connections and relationships that were built through this business have been more of a blessing than I can express.

I’ll be posting very soon about what Timber Bear is morphing into and what the future will look like. It certainly comes with deep passion, over a year worth of development, and an internal fire, so I’m incredibly excited to update you all. In the meantime, I appreciate and respect each of you so much. Much love to you all!

After 3 years of starting and growing this business, it’s time to make some necessary changes. In these next two months (March and April), we are going to be downsizing our operation here and transitioning to my home workshop.

Timber Bear Woodworks will absolutely continue on and will keep pushing to become an elite specialty woodworking shop. The core of the original vision is still very much alive so Timber Bear isn’t going away anytime soon. It’ll just look a little different here in 2026 and beyond.

This decision was an extremely difficult one and it’s something that’s kept me awake many nights over the winter here. Trying to balance everything has simply become too difficult and has forced me to step back and reevaluate what life should look like. Especially having a family with young kids. Anyone that has owned a business of any kind can certainly empathize.

I’ve prayed a lot for direction and wisdom and I feel very at peace that this is the next step God wants us to take. All glory to Him for the incredible blessings He’s given us here during phase one of this journey.

I’d like to genuinely thank all of you, the amazing clients and people that have come in through these doors the last 3 years. I’d like to thank you for all of the countless smiles, stories, conversations, pictures of projects, sawdust made, and most importantly, thank you for your friendship and trust.

I’ll post more over the coming weeks as the transition plan and schedule become more clear. We still have custom projects going on and will continue to work on throughout and after the transition. So we’d love to chat about building custom projects for you!

For now though, here’s what we’re going to do… I want to get these slabs and lumber piles out of here, so there’s going be a series of downsizing sales over the next month or two, starting with THIS SATURDAY!

🪵 Downsizing Sale #1
THIS Saturday, February 28th, from 9:00am-12:00pm, all slabs are 20% off, red oak slabs are 40% off, and we still have some dimensional lumber in stock. The weather is going to be beautiful and sunny, perfect for buying slabs for your next project. Here’s a link to the actual event:
https://www.facebook.com/share/1CCgWiY3E9/?mibextid=wwXIfr

This isn’t a goodbye post by any stretch, this is simply an emotional announcement about the upcoming transition. Plus, I need you to come buy some slabs and lumber because I can’t fit all of it in my home garage, for as much as I’d like to!

If you’re reading this, thank you for being an incredible person and for being the reason Timber Bear has roared on for 3 years already. I hope to see or chat with you soon.

With much love and respect,

Tyler H

🎉 We are so incredibly thrilled and proud to finally announce the official launch of the Timber Bear Fitness Collection!!

These aren’t just cutting boards or charcuterie boards shaped like barbell plates and kettlebells… They’re functional representations of your commitment to healthy living and what means the most to you.

But more than that, they’re reminders.

A reminder of the 5 a.m. alarms when everyone else was still asleep.
A reminder of the plates you’ve loaded, the kettlebells you’ve swung, the promises you made to yourself in the mirror.

A reminder that fitness is far from being just physical… it’s personal, it’s mental, it’s vulnerable, it’s community, it’s family.

It’s showing up when it’s hard, it’s pushing through doubts and fears, it’s rewarding, it’s lifestyle and commitment to yourself, it’s a push to be better than you were yesterday. Fitness means something different to everyone.

That’s why our products can be personalized with the logos, sayings, badges, or names that mean the most to you. Your gym logo, your family names, military logos, a faith or motivational saying that’s carried you through the harder days, or simply the weight that changed everything for you.

⚡️There are four sizes available for both the plate weight and the kettlebell, and then you’ll have the options of choosing between locally sourced walnut, maple, or cherry. Each item is finished with a food-grade oil so that they can be safely used in your kitchen.

They’re designed to be charcuterie and cutting boards but they also function perfectly as specialized drop trays for your keys or AirPods, or can even be used as motivational decor on a counter or shelf in your house.

🐻 Hi, my name is Tyler Hunter and I’m one of the co-founders of Timber Bear Woodworks here in Bellwood, PA. I’m also founder and owner of Revival Fitness & Rehab in Altoona, PA. I passionately created this fitness woodworking collection as a more intentional way to motivate myself and clients. What started as a fun prototype turned into an intentional product designed to inspire, bring people together, and give you a functional reminder that you’re amazing!

🎊 To celebrate our new product line, we’re offering a 10% discount on every item and variety!
This initial launch is for local orders only, meaning central PA: Altoona, Bedford, Ebensburg, Bellwood, State College, and surrounding areas.

We’re keeping it close to home so that we can finish every order and have them available for pickup before Christmas.

Here’s our order and fulfillment plan:
✅ Orders are being accepted today through December 13th!
✅ Orders will be completed and dropped off at your participating gym locations the week of Dec 15th. We’ll be working with each of those gyms to ensure a smooth and simple process.
✅ For those that don’t have a gym or prefer a different pickup location, we’ll have remaining orders at Revival Fitness & Rehab in Altoona, PA. Pickups will be available Friday, Dec 19th from 6:00am-3:00pm and Saturday, Dec 20th from 8:00-10:00am.
*We’ll be sending email and social media updates over the coming weeks to keep everyone informed and aware of the plans and schedule.

We want giving back to be a dedicated part of Timber Bear’s story so
5% of every single purchase goes directly to a charity of your choice from our specially-chosen list shown at checkout:
- Refuge Youth Network (Blair County)
- Habitat for Humanity (Bedford County)
- Youth Service Bureau (Centre County)

💪🏼 In addition to the charity give back, we wanted to do something for the amazing gyms and wellness facilities out there as well. So we’ll also be sharing a 5% affiliate bonus with each participating gym that is listed by the customer at checkout! Gyms, cycle and Pilates studios, personal training facilities, and all places fitness!

And since we’re competitive people, let’s make it more interesting…
The gym / wellness facility that is tagged the most by clients at checkout will win a FREE XL plate or kettlebell customized however the business wants!!

🔥 Here’s where we can really use your help then!! If you belong to a local gym here in central PA, tag the business, tag the owner, tag your favorite trainers, instructors, and practitioners! Tag your gym partners, workout buddies, and competitive family members. We want to connect with every gym and related facility possible so that we can have as big of an impact as possible ASAP!

As one gym owner to another, Tyler would genuinely love to connect with each person and place right away. We’d be honored to have you participate and be a part of this special launch! We have special printed flyers we could bring to your facility to help you reach more members and make ordering easy.

If healthy living and working out is a personal lifestyle for you…
If you want something on your kitchen counter that proudly represents you and what you stand for…
If you want a physical reminder that you’re awesome and that you should be proud of yourself…
If you’re ready to own a piece of functional art that was built with the same grit you bring to your workout each day…
