A well-designed accent wall can:

• create a focal point in the room
• visually separate or “zone” an open space
• make ceilings feel higher or rooms feel larger
• add warmth, texture, or drama
• completely change the mood of a space

Wallpaper works especially well for accent walls because it adds depth and texture that paint alone often cannot achieve.

Where accent walls work best:

• behind a bed in a bedroom
• behind a vanity in a powder room
• around a fireplace
• dining rooms
• stairways and entry areas
• behind shelving or built-ins
