RMC Architects We believe architecture should be a celebration of its unique setting—reflecting the values, culture, history, geography, and diversity of people and place.

In this way, architecture strengthens community.

Get to know the people behind the projects! This month, we're featuring Jesse, who has been a member of RMC's architectural design team for the past seven years.

"The most rewarding part about working in architecture is having the opportunity to use my skills in design to help provide a built environment that enables others in our community to achieve their goals and aspirations for how they want to serve the rest of Whatcom County."

Outside of work, Jesse enjoys striking a balance between an active and relaxed lifestyle. He loves weightlifting, traveling, and camping to explore the beautiful landscapes Washington has to offer. When he's not out adventuring, you'll find him at home with his cat, Toothless, cooking for his family, or playing fantasy and RPG video games with his wife and friends.

His ideal day in Bellingham? Heading downtown to find a unique restaurant he's never tried before, then catching a movie at the Pickford.

Welcome back, Vikings! The newly renovated Starbucks in WWU’s Arntzen Hall is brewing and ready for a new year on campus. Working hand-in-hand with the Starbucks design team, we integrated warm wood tones and carefully crafted details to complement the building’s exposed concrete structure, creating a welcoming spot to study, catch up with friends, or grab a coffee between classes.

Celebrating 40 years of great people, meaningful work, and lasting relationships.

Our anniversary celebration gave us a chance to reflect on the journey, reconnect with old friends, and celebrate the people who have shaped RMC over the past four decades. We've been fortunate to work on projects that strengthen our community alongside incredible partners and an amazing team.

We're incredibly grateful for the support of our clients, consultants, families, and friends over the years. Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this milestone. It's been a great ride so far, and we're excited for what's ahead!

RMC Architects is celebrating 40 years! Join us as we take a stroll down memory lane, sharing milestones, memorable projects, and the people who helped shape our story.

Founded in 1986 by Bob Ross and Jeff McClure as Ross & McClure, the firm's first decade was defined by growth, new opportunities, and a growing portfolio of work throughout Bellingham. These highlights from our first decade offer a look back at the projects and milestones that laid the foundation for the next 40 years.

Stay tuned as we continue our journey through four decades of work and the people who made it all possible. Here's to 40 years, and to the next chapter!

This week, RMC Architects was featured in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce as we celebrate 40 years of serving the Bellingham community. The article highlights our work, our history, and our ongoing commitment to Bellingham and the Pacific Northwest.

“The firm's ethos is the belief that architecture should reflect the values, culture, and diversity of its surroundings and as such, RMC views itself as community architects first and foremost. Although its work spans the region, if you stroll through Bellingham, you'll find RMC projects in just about every area of town. " - Julie Flattery

This spring marked a major milestone with the completion of Phase 2 of the City of Bellingham, Washington Pacific Street Operations Center. The new facility brings Bellingham Parks and Recreation and Public Works together in a modern, purpose-built space that supports the day-to-day work behind Bellingham's parks, streets, utilities, and community spaces.

As a LEED Silver-certified facility, the Operations Center improves efficiency, promotes sustainability, and provides City staff with the tools and resources needed to serve the community for years to come. We're proud to have helped deliver a project that supports City staff, improves public infrastructure, and invests in the future of the Bellingham community.

Thank you to our partners who helped bring this project to life.
