Do you know what to do when your roof sustains damage?

1. Take pictures! 📸 Your insurance company will want to see them before a temporary covering is put in place.

2. Complete a temporary repair & have an inspection done to protect the contents of your home while your insurance claim is in process. Not all damage is visible to the naked eye. A trained professional will be able to identify hail damage & potential leaks that you may not be able to see from the ground. 👷‍♂️

3. Call your insurance company to start your claim. Often times in a large storm where many houses were damaged, your insurance company will request that you provide an inspection & photos of the damage. Other times they will send an adjuster to complete the inspection. 📝

4. The insurance company will walk you through any additional steps they may require & settle your claim. It's time to schedule your new roof installation!

Silver lining: Did you know if your asphalt roof sustained the damage, you are allowed to apply the insurance $ to a new metal roof? Make the most of your opportunity & never worry about your roof again!

Snow retention is one thing to consider when installing a metal roof.

Snow loads will slide off a metal roof, often damaging gutters, and piling snow on decks, walkways, and in front of entries. The two primary snow retention options are Individual Snow Guards and Snow Bars.

Depending on the pitch and size of your roof planes, snow retention can be placed on all of your eaves, or specifically over entry ways and walkways.
